1 Corinthians 2:14—3:15 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. (vv.7-9)

When I first came to the Healing Service at my church, I was very particular about which prayer team I wanted to lay hands on me and pray for me. I was under the false assumption that certain people were able to bend God’s ear to listen more closely to their prayers. I was putting my confidence in the person praying the healing prayer, rather than the Healer Himself.

God’s Word states that “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28). God does not listen to certain Christian’s prayers more than others. He hears each of His children’s prayers equally. Which Christian is praying for you is irrelevant. God is the only One who can answer prayer. It is not about us humans. It is all about God!

I’ve learned to let God pick the prayer team for me. Now when I need prayer at the Healing Service, I simply raise my hand and accept prayer from whichever prayer team reaches me first.

Until next time blessings and healing
