Title: The Potter
This is my current work in progress (wip) piece of artwork. I’ve always loved the picture that forms in my head when I read in the Bible about God being The Potter and us being the clay.
In this image Jesus is sitting creating the Earth. In the New Testament in the first chapter of John it says:
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was already with God in the beginning.3 Everything came into existence through Him. Not one thing that exists was made without Him.4 He was the source of life, and that life was the light for humanity. John 1:1-4 GW
This artwork actually combines a couple of Scriptures, so technically I guess it is more of a visual representation of a Biblical Concept than a specific Scripture.
This is just the first little part of the image that I’m creating. I had to do this one separately to use a geoshell on the skin that enables me to add the mud layer on the top of His skin and give it some dimension. There are several more pieces to this image that I will add in soon. I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick peek into my current WIP – The Potter.
