Psalm 63:1-11 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your Name I will lift up my hands. (v.4 NIV)
As a child, I remember turning on the radio and having my favorite song come on. The song’s tempo echoed inside of me; my feet began to move to the beat. My whole body began to dance and I lifted up my hands in joy. The music seemed to flow from my heart into every inch of my body. I danced for the pure enjoyment of being alive.
I get that same feeling when I think of the Lord. He wants to be the music that brings joy to our lives. The tempo of the Lord’s love is my favorite song, playing in my heart. His song echoes inside of me, making my feet move, my whole body dance, and my hands lift up in joy! My desire is to praise the Lord for the rest of my life…living a life of lifted hands.
I pray that you will join me in praising the Lord: “Delighted, they dance all day long; they know who you are, what you do…Your vibrant beauty has gotten inside us…” (Psalm 89:16-17 The Message).
