Genesis 18:1-16 “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” (v.14a)
When I first went for inner healing at the Healing Ministry, I wondered if Jesus could heal all the years of pain and misery in my life. I had so much garbage that I carried on the inside of me; I wasn’t sure what He would do with it.
Then I read a story about a town out West: Once a year this town drains and cleans out the river that runs through the town. The townspeople then gather down at the river and pick up all the garbage that has accumulated over the past year. The garbage is then turned over to local artists, who recycle the trash and make it into beautiful sculptures that line the river bank.
This reminds me of the healing the Lord did in my life. He drained my garbage-filled life and then gathered up all the garbage and turned it into something beautiful that He could use. Nothing in my past was too big for the Lord. What was once a burden is now a beautiful testimony of God’s mercy and grace.
