Hebrews 8:1-13 By coming up with a new plan, a new covenant between God and his people, God put the old plan on the shelf. And there it stays, gathering dust. (v.13 The Message)

Before I got saved, my plans ruled my life. I called them, my “give me, buy me, get me” plans. I wanted everything my way, right now! The consequences of my plans: I became an alcoholic and a high school dropout who couldn’t keep a job for more than six months at a time. I believed that I was a hopeless failure who would never amount to anything.

Then I met someone who saved me from my hopeless life and showed me a new way to live. He made me this promise, “I will bless you with a future filled with hope—a future of success, not of suffering” (Jeremiah 29:11 CEV). The Lord encouraged me to patiently follow His plans for my life. The consequences of His plans: I no longer drink alcohol and I’m a college graduate who has worked in the same job for almost four years. I now believe that I can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).

Ask God what His plans are for your life and look forward to a future of hope!

Until next time blessings and healing
