So, I was trying to think of a clever way to introduce my characters for my Visual Storytelling project. I had already decided that I wanted to do it in a professional photo shoot portrait style. But I wanted to add a twist to that.
Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. The Creative Community Center (TCCC) is a non-profit organization which means that throughout the year there will need to be fundraisers to get donations. Even though, TCCC hasn’t officially opened to the public it is serving small groups of children and women on occasion. If I want to do professional portraits, why not make it a Glamour Shot fundraiser.
This will give people the opportunity to meet and greet the staff and volunteers for the Center. It will be a chance for people to dress up and have professional photographers take their portraits. There is no fee for the portraits, but the people may donate to TCCC if they would like to.
And that is how, Glamour Shots was created to introduce my characters for the story. Each character has a professional portrait created using the same digital background. I had the twist I had been looking to find.
