Jeremiah 29:1, 4-13 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (v.11)

This Scripture reminds me of a precious friend of mine. When she was eleven she was diagnosed with cancer. She endured a year of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries. She lost all of her hair and was constantly exhausted. One night she lay on her bedroom floor, in tears, begging the Lord for mercy from her pain. She asked Him to take her up to heaven so that she could be free of her broken body.

That night the Spirit of the Lord filled her bedroom and she felt His peace calm her completely. Then she clearly heard Him say, “My child, someday you will be with me, but your time has not yet come. I have greater plans for you.”

God used those year-long treatments to heal my friend. The Lord’s plans for her life have beautifully unfolded over the last eleven years of her life. She is currently a Seminary student who has a passion for the Lord and for doing His will. Her testimony reminds us that God has plans for each of us.

Until next time blessings and healing
